ABSTRACT
This research was carried out in the Kerinci Regency Inspectorate Office. There are many demands for clean, transparent, and accountable regional government, so it is time for the role of supervision to be increased and empowered so that it is not only limited to discourse and aspirations, but is actually realized and achieved in order to realize the welfare of the people of Kerinci Regency. The Inspectorate of Kerinci Regency is a regional apparatus institution which in carrying out its main tasks and functions is highly dependent on the commitment of the regional head.Supervision of the Inspectorate of Kerinci Regency on the use of regional finances and assets which are sometimes linked to certain personal or organizational interests. The formulation of the research problem, namely, how to optimize the function of the inspectorate in the regional financial supervision of Kerinci Regency. The objective of the research is to determine the optimization of the function of the inspectorate in the regional financial supervision of Kerinci Regency.This research uses a qualitative approach where the data is obtained through field interview guidelines to 5 informants referring to 5 research indicators, namely 1. Audit 2. Review 3. Evaluation 4. Monitoring 5. Supervision. The data obtained in the field were analyzed based on the classification of the informants' answers which were described in the results and discussion of the research which was then carried out by the interpretative researcher.It is known that the optimization of the inspectorate's function in the financial supervision of the Kerinci Regency of the five research indicators is only four indicators that are implemented optimally, namely for audit, review, evaluation and supervision indicators while monitoring has not been carried out optimally. For this reason, the authors suggest that the optimization of the function of the inspectorate in monitoring regional financial supervision of Kerinci Regency can be increased so that the use of regional finances can be budgeted for the benefit of the community.
