Abstract

The research method used is a qualitative approach method. The informants in this study were the Head of the Civil Service Police Unit and the Kerinci District Fire Department, the Head of the Kerinci District Fire Department, the Head of the Kerinci District Fire Department and the Fire Command Post. The research instrument is the researcher himself and data collection through interviews and field observations. The Improvement of Fire Service Institutions through Implementation of the Fire Master Plan (RIK). This case study at the Kerinci District Fire Service covers Fire Prevention, Fire Suppression, Rescue and Development. The results of fire prevention research by improving fire extinguishing facilities and infrastructure with the addition of good and good quality extinguishers, fire fighting increases the ability of officers to extinguish at fire locations by developing qualification standards for fire fighters by providing basic education and training for firefighters. fire for search and evacuation of fire victims with related agencies such as from the TNI, Polri, BPBD and Pol PP in the future to create a special team of fire fighting partners, fire fighting in order to increase the capacity of the Fire Fighting Apparatus in Kerinci Regency every year there is a program of training and fire simulation with a qualified trainer or instructor, the Kerinci District Fire Department will make a plan and create an outreach and training program for the community on prevention and overcoming fire hazards.
