Abstract

With the formulation of the problem, how the role of the DPRD Sungai Penuh city in the level of community participation. The purpose of this research is to see the role of DPRD in building community participation in Sungai Penuh City. This research uses a qualitative approach, where the data research techniques are using library research (library research), and field research (field research). From the results of research using this method it is known that the Forum for the level of community participation has not been channeled due to limitations, the role of the community in providing participation in development planning is needed people. The conclusion of this research is that the role of DPRD in building community participation in Sungai Penuh City has been running well, although it is not yet optimal.
