Abstract

The formulation and objectives of this study are: How is the influence and extent of influence of formal education levels and working environment conditions of village heads in all Depati Tujuh sub-districts while the aim is to determine the influence and extent of influence of formal education levels and working environment conditions of village heads in Depati Tujuh sub-district . The method used in this research is a quantitative descriptive method, while the theory used in this research is the theory of Education Definition, Education Level, Factors that influence the level of education, formal education, Education Pathways, Job Theory, Job Demands, Review of Theory about the Village Head, Duties and obligations of the Village Head, Authority of the Village Head, Understanding of the Village Government, Work Environment, Factors affecting the work environment, work effectiveness, Factors affecting work effectiveness, and measuring instruments of work effectiveness. The results of this study are the level of formal education and work environment affect the effectiveness of the performance of the Village Head of the Depati Tujuh sub-district and the Formal Education Level gives an influence of 42.2% on the Performance of the Village Head of the Depati Tujuh sub-district, while 57.8% is influenced by the work environment of the Village Head . Suggestions from the results of this study are for Village Heads who have not improved their education (not yet reached the undergraduate level) to reconsider improving their education and the Regional Government would support the improvement of the quality of the working environment of the Village Government
