Abstract

The Role of  Opinion Leaders in the House Repair Program in Kayu Aro District. Housing is a  basic human need that plays a role in maintaining the continuity of life and
livelihood Where the right to housing is the right of everyone to obtain a decent
home in a sustainable manner with a safe and dignified community. Feasible in
this case includes security and legal guarantees, easy to obtain from a financial
perspective, support for the implementation of daily life activities, or other things
that make the lives of its inhabitants have dignity as human beings. The
formulation of the research problem is, What is the Role of Opinion Leaders in
the Home Improvement Program in Kayu Aro District? The research objective
was to determine the role of opinion leaders in the house renovation program in
Kayu Aro District. This research used a qualitative approach where the data were
obtained through field interview informants referring to 3 research
indicators, namely l. Authorty figure 2. Trend Setter 3. Credibility. The data
obtained in the field were analyzed based on the classification ofthe informants'
answers which were described in the results and discussion of the research which
was then carried out by the interpreter ofihe researcher. It is known that the role
of community leaders who are role models for the community in the house
renovation program in Kayu Aro District is to provide input to the village government to provide assistance to people who have the right to receive house renovation stones without manipulating data and in accordance with the requirements set by the central government. For this reason, the authors suggest that the role of opinion leaders really provide input to the village government so that house renovation assistance is really on target and given to people who meet the requirements and are indeed worthy and have the right to get a house  renovation assistance program.
