Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of Competency and Compensation on Work Productivity. either directly or indirectly at the Kerinci Regency SAMSAT office. This research uses quantitative methods, with exogenous variables, namely the Competency variable (X1), the intervening variable Compensation (X2), and the endogenous variable, namely Work Productivity (Y). The sample for this research was 13 State Civil Apparatus (ASN) at the Kerinci Regency SAMSAT office. The data analysis technique used is path analysis and is divided into 2 paths, namely sub structure 1 and sub structure 2. Data was collected through questionnaires. Research findings show that: 1) There is a significant direct influence of competence on work productivity, where the contribution value obtained is 0.767 or 76.7% with a significance of 0.000. 2) There is a significant direct influence of compensation on work productivity, where the contribution value obtained is 0.156 or 15.6% with a significance of 0.000. 3) There is a significant direct influence of Competency on Compensation, where the contribution value obtained is 0.337 or 33.7% with a significance of 0.000. 4) There is a significant indirect influence of Competency on Work Productivity through Compensation, where the contribution value obtained is 0.201 or 20.1% with a Tcount value greater than Ttable (2,124 > 1,771).
