Abstract

This research was conducted at the Kerinci District Education Office. This study aims to determine the effect of paternalistic leadership style and job satisfaction on work motivation. The number of samples set as many as 38 respondents using the quantitative method. As independent variables, namely Paternalistic Leadership Style and job satisfaction while the dependent variable is work motivation. The analysis used is multiple linear analysis including the coefficient of determination and hypothesis testing. The results of the analysis using multiple liners can be seen that the Paternalistic Leadership Style variable affects performance by 0.362 (36.2%) and job satisfaction affects work motivation by 0.674 (67.4%). These two variables affect work motivation and the results of the analysis using the coefficient of determination are known that 0.973 ( 97.3%) the variation of performance can be explained by the independent variables studied in this study and 2.7% is explained by other factors outside this discussion. And the results of hypothesis testing both partially and simultaneously that the dependent variable on the independent variable has a significant effect using the t-test and f-test
