This study aims to determine the effect of Total Quality Management (TQM) and job satisfaction on performance. either directly or indirectly, the Kerinci Regency Population and Civil Registration Service. This research uses quantitative methods, with exogenous variables, namely the Total Quality Management (TQM) variable (X1), the intervening variable Job satisfaction (X2), and the endogenous variable, namely Performance (Y) . The population of this study is all 32 State Civil Apparatuses (ASN) in the Kerinci Regency Population and Civil Registration Service. The data analysis technique used is path analysis and is divided into 2 paths, namely sub structure 1 and sub structure 2. Data collected through questionnaires, The research findings show that: 1) There is a significant direct effect of Total Quality Management (TQM) on job satisfaction, where the contribution value obtained is 0.719 or 71.9% with a significance of 0.000. 2) There is a significant direct effect of Total Quality Management (TQM) on performance, where the contribution value obtained is 0.372 or 37.2% with a significance of 0.000. 3) There is a significant direct effect of Job Satisfaction on Performance, where the contribution value obtained is 0.144 or 14.4% with a significance of 0.000. 4) There is an indirect effect of Total Quality Management (TQM) on performance through job satisfaction significantly, where the contribution value obtained is 0.196 or 19.6%
