Abstract

The Role of Districts in the Implementation of Regional Autonomy (Case Study of Air Panas District).
This study took the location in the district of Air Panas, Kerinci Regency. The purpose of this study was
to determine the role of sub-districts in the implementation of regional autonomy (case study of Air
Panas sub-districts). The approach used in this study was qualitative. The number of informants in this
study amounted to 7 people. Data collection techniques and tools in this study were interviews and
observations. The results showed that in the implementation of the tasks and roles of the sub-districts,
it was perfect seen from 1) Attribution. In this section, the camat's ability to understand the functions
and duties of the sub-district is good, where the sub-district has been able to carry out its vision and
mission in realizing regional autonomy. 2) Delegation. In this section, it can be said that everything is
going well, where all activities are in accordance with the proper mechanism, where the activities are
running according to the flow. 3) Mandate. In this section it does not run properly where the village
government always ignores and neglects the tasks given by the sub-district, this has resulted in the delay
of all activities in the sub-district, especially in processing community data.
