Abstract

Implementation of the Sungai Penuh City Government in Handling the Covid-19 pandemic (Case Study
of the Sungai Penuh City Health Office). This research took place at the Sungai penuh City Health
Office. The purpose of this study was to determine the Implementation of the Sungai Penuh City
Government in handling the Covid-19 pandemic at the Sungai Penuh City Health Office. In this study
using a qualitative approach where data were obtained through interview guidelines to 6 informants
referring to the four research indicators. The indicators in this study are indicator environmental
conditions, indicators relations between organizations, indicators resources and indicators
characteristics implementor institutions. The data obtained in the field were analyzed based on the
classification of the answer of the informants described in the result and discussion of the research
which is then done by interpretative researchers. It is know that there are only three indicators that
have been implemented well, namely indicators environmental conditions, indicators relations between
organizations and indicators characteristics implementor institutions. Whereas the resource indicators
have not been implemented optimally. For this reason the author suggests that the Sungai Penuh City
Health Office can continue to innovate and improve in order to implement it in handling the Covid-19
pandemic. For this reason it is hoped that the government through the Sungai Penuh City Health Office
can implement the handling of the Covid-19 pandemic by equipping medical personnel such as
recruiting experts at the Puskesmas to be able to help Covid-19 patients.
