Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Role of Community Leaders in Improving Village Development in Sungai Deras New Village, Kecamatan Air Hangat Timur. influence The method used in this study is a qualitative method. Data collection techniques were carried out through observations made to selected informants such as the New Village Head of Sungai Deras. The Village Consultative Body (BPD) of Sungai Deras New Village, Religious Leaders, Traditional Leaders, Educational Leaders, Youth Leaders and Women Leaders in the Sungai Deras New Village. The results of this study indicate that the analysis of the Role of Community Leaders in Improving Village Development in Sungai Deras New Village, Kecamatan Air Hangat Timur is quite good, but village government officials rarely involve community leaders in deliberation for decision making for village development and there are also several sectors whose development is still ongoing because requires a long period of time.
