Abstract
This study aims to see the direct and indirect effect of rewards on employee performance with motivation as an intervening variable at the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) of Sungai Penuh City. The research approach used is a quantitative approach with the method of path analysis. The sample in this study amounted to 39 who are civil servants at the Bappeda office of Sungai Penuh City. The data collection tool used is a questionnaire/questionnaire which contains a set of statements that must be chosen by the respondents in the form of a Likert scale. Hypothesis 1, 2, and 3 were tested using the t test, while for hypothesis testing 4 was using the Sobel test. Data processing is done by using SPSS.26 software. The results of this study are: 1) There is no effect of reward on employee performance at the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) of Sungai Penuh City, 2) There is an influence of reward on employee motivation at the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) of Sungai Penuh City, 3) There is an influence of reward on employee motivation. motivation on employee performance at the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) of Sungai Penuh City, and 4) There is an indirect effect of reward on employee performance through motivation at the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) of Sungai Penuh City.
