STRATEGI PEMERINTAH DAERAH DALAM MELESTERIKAN SILAT TRADISI MENCAK SEBAGAI WARISAN BUDAYA TAK BENDA DI KOTA SUNGAI PENUH

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know how the strategy of local government Sungai Penuh City in preserving traditional silat mencak as intangible culture heritage. This study used qualitative research methods descriptive type with analysis technique is by data collection, data reduction, data displayand and conclusion, the informant selection technique used a purposive technique sampling with the informan key in this study is Head of Department Culture and Tourism Sungai Penuh City.  The results of field research can be concluded that Sungai Penuh City government has taken steps to preserve traditional silat mencak as intangible culture heritage ini Sungai Penuh City, but it is according to the author’s opinion is not maximal because Sungai Penuh City Government has not focused to preserving culture traditional silat mencak, because many cultural heritages that must be saved and preserved, and there are still many more effective and efficient ways that have not been tried by the Sungai Penuh City Government .
