Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of leadership and job satisfaction on performance. either directly or indirectly in the office of the Head of Air Warm District. This research uses quantitative methods, with exogenous variables namely leadership variables (X1), intervening variables job satisfaction (X2), and endogenous variables namely performance (Y). The population of this study is all 27 State Civil Apparatuses (ASN) at the Depati Tujuh sub-district office. The data analysis technique used is path analysis and is divided into 2 paths, namely sub structure 1 and sub structure 2. Data were collected through questionnaires. The research findings show that: 1) There is a direct influence of leadership on job satisfaction significantly, where the contribution value obtained is 0.331 or 33.1% with a significance of 0.000. 2) There is a direct influence of leadership on performance significantly, where the contribution value obtained is 0.081 or 8.1% with a significance of 0.000. 3) There is a significant direct effect of job satisfaction on performance, where the contribution value obtained is 0.551 or 55.1% with a significance of 0.000. 4) There is an indirect influence of leadership on performance through job satisfaction significantly, where the contribution value obtained is 0.117 or 11.7%
