Abstract
This study took place in the BLK of Kerinci Regency with the formulation of the problem How is the Contribution of the Job Training Center (BLK) in Empowering Work Skills and Entrepreneurship in KerinciRegency?. The purpose of this study is to determine the contribution of the Job Training Center (BLK) in Empowering Work Skills and Entrepreneurship in Kerinci Regency. This study used a qualitative approach where data were obtained through free field interviews with 6 informants using interview guidelines which were then analyzed by data triangulation through data reduction, data interpretation, and drawing conclusions so as to obtain accurate information. The results of the research. The implementation and development of skills training at BLK Kerinci Regency is carried out using relevant and effective job training methods in order to find work competency standards. The BLK of Kerinci Regency carries out training activities, especially competency-based with sub-vocational with the target (participants) involved, namely the general public who have dropped out of school or have not finished school, who have not worked or who are looking for job seekers. The purpose of holding coaching and skills training is to train and improve the competence of the open unemployed who do not have the skills and foster people who drop out of school so that after carrying out the training they have the potential or skills and reduce the unemployment rate in Kerinci Regency and Sungai Penuh City, as well as to realize effective and efficient national job training in the context of improving the quality of the workforce, providing direction and guidance in conducting coaching and controlling job training, optimizing empowerment and all job training human resources. The preparation of the training activity plan at the Kerinci Regency BLK begins with a study of the potential that exists in Kerinci Regency and the placement of workers abroad and starts from the early stages of workshop preparation, workshop verification preparation, structure verification, training submission stage, exit training permits, recruitment registration announcements. written tests and interviews followed by the announcement of the results, after the announcement, training was held and guided by several aspects, namely the availability of instructors, workshops, and infrastructure as well as potential activities in Kerinci Regency and compiling training modules according to their respective fields. The form of socialization of the Kerinci Regency BLK to the community is by visiting the sub-district directly conveying information on what is being done for training and the existence of a three in one training needs analysis program by registering online..
