Abstract
This research aims at the independent learning policy as a strategy to improve the quality of education (a case study of SDN 179/III, Kemantan downstream). influence The method used in this study is a qualitative method. The data collection technique was carried out through observation made to selected informants such as the principal of SDN 179/III Kemantan downstream, class teacher at SDN 179/III Kemantan downstream, subject teacher or treasurer of SDN 179/III Kemantan downstream. The results of this study indicate that the independent learning policy as a strategy to improve the quality of education (a case study of SDN 179/III Kemantan downstream has been implemented very well, but there are some aspects that are classified as poor, such as there are still many teachers who do not understand the internet and social media. Teachers develop real life concepts in classroom learning by taking concepts that exist in real life or everyday life, these concepts are then raised according to the material being studied.
