Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work ethic and work motivation on organizational performance. either directly or indirectly at the Regional Secretariat of Kerinci Regency. This research uses quantitative methods, with exogenous variables namely Work Ethic (X1), work motivation intervening variable (X2), and endogenous variable, namely Organizational Performance (Y). The sample of this research is the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) at the Regional Secretariat of Kerinci Regency as many as 68 people. The data analysis technique used is path analysis and is divided into 2 paths, namely sub structure 1 and sub structure 2. Data is collected through questionnaires. The research findings show that: 1) There is a direct influence of work ethic on work motivation significantly, where the contribution value obtained is 0.253 or 25.3% with a significance of 0.000. 2) There is a significant direct effect of work ethic on organizational performance, where the contribution value obtained is 0.484 or 48.4% with a significance of 0.000. 3) There is a significant direct influence of Work Motivation on Organizational Performance, where the contribution value obtained is 0.168 or 16.8% with a significance of 0.000. 4) There is an indirect effect of work ethic on organizational performance through work motivation significantly, where the contribution value obtained is 0.143 or 14.3% with a Tcount greater than Ttable (2.616 > 1.668).
