Abstract

This study took place in Tambak Tinggi Village, Depati Tujuh Sub-District, Kerinci Regency with the formulation of the problem "What is the Role of the Village Consultative Board in Increasing Community Participation in Infrastructure Development in TambakTinggi Village Depati Tujuh Sub-District?". The purpose of this study is to find out the role of the Village Consultative Board in increasing community participation in infrastructure development in TambakTinggi Village, DepatiTujuh Sub-District This study uses a qualitative approach where data is obtained through structured interviews in the field with 9 informants using interview guidelines which are then analyzed by data triangulation through data reduction, data interpretation and drawing conclusions so that accurate information can be obtained. The research results are: 1). The role of the Village Consultative Board is to explore people's aspirations through the meeting. In TambakTinggi village, decision making begins with discussions and brainstorming between meeting participants and village government officials, where the village government acts as a facilitator who considers all proposals from meeting participants by aligning development programs that have been compiled in the RPJMD, and proposals that are needs. the real community and not just a wish, this will be agreed upon in the minutes of the agreed results of the meeting. 2). Discussing and agreeing on the Draft Village Regulations with the Village Head did not go well. This can be seen from the community only knowing that the village’s law already exists and only carrying out what has been prepared. The inactive role of the Village Consultative Boardin preparing villages law is because the Village Consultative Board does not understand how to compile and plan villages law so that it is left up to the village administration to compile it. However, after being granted this authority, the Village Consultative Board still asked for it to be socialized to the community. Many people follow this advice. Then do mutual cooperation.
