Abstract

The smooth implementation of government tasks and national development is highly dependent on the perfection of the state apparatus, especially civil servants. As one of the local government apparatus, the Agency for Personnel and Human Resources Development (BKPSDM) is part of the government order that plays a role in the government system, namely as a facilitator and dynamist related to personnel affairs and apparatus development, which in carrying out this role BKPSDM must always improve management of its employees more efficiently, effectively, cleanly and with accountability and results-oriented performance. This study was conducted to determine whether or not there is an influence of training and leadership on employee performance at the Sungai Penuh City Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency with 43 civil servants (until 31 December 2021) as a sample. Based on the results of the regression test, it is obtained that the multiple linear regression equation is as follows Y = a + 1X1+ 2X2 = -2.762+0.738X1+0.385X2. It means: The value of a = -2.762 means that if the value of X remains or equals 0 then if the value of Y = -2.762. X1 = 0.738 means that for every increase in the value of X1 = 1%, the value of Y will increase by 7.38%. X2 = 0.385 means that for every increase in the value of X2 = 1%, the value of Y will increase by 38,5%. In hypothesis testing, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence partially or simultaneously on training and leadership on employee performance at the Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency of Sungai Penuh City and the percentage of the influence of training and leadership simultaneously on performance is 39,8%.
