Abstract
Village head elections are a form of democratic party that is so popular that it is held every five years, likewise with the election of the village head which was held in sekungkung village, Depati seven District. The purpose of this research is to find out what conflicts have occurred after the election of the village head, as well as what are the causes of post-election social conflicts, the location of this research is in sekungkung village,Depati seven District, Kerinci regency. This study used 5 informants, namely one village head election committee, 2 youth and women leaders and 2community members who participated in the village head election. The data collection technique used in this study was in-depth interviws, the final results of this study concluded that there were indeed some social conflicts after the village head election in sekungkung village, Depati seven districts of kerinci, social conflicts that occured such as actions of not greeting each other among residents, actions resignations made due to the defeat of the chosen candidate, and also a bit of rioting that occurred between members of the community, one of the factors causing social conflict after the election of the village head in sekungkung village was the difference in views between each supporter for the candidate he chose and also acts of fanaticism which resulted in anarchist actions by supporters.
