Abstract
This study aims to determine the income distribution of tea pickers at PT. Nusantara Plantation VI Aro Wood Business Unit, Kayu Aro Barat District. The research method used is a quantitative descriptive method. Quantitative descriptive method is a tool for analyzing by calculating analytical methods in the form of numbers, in this case statistical analysis is used. The sample in this study amounted to 76 people who are employees of PT. Nusantara Plantation VI Aro Wood Business Unit, Kayu Aro Barat District. Data collection tool used in the form of a list of questions in the form of questionnaires and interview guides. To find out how the condition of the income distribution of employees in the tea picking section of PT. Perkebunan Nusantara VI Kayu Aro Business Unit uses the Gini coefficient or Gini Ratio criteria, where these criteria will be able to analyze whether income is evenly distributed or not. The results showed that: 1) the smallest/minimum income received by tea picking employees was IDR 30,000,000 per year and the highest/maximum income was IDR 92,000,000 per year. While the average employee income is IDR 46,420,000 per year and IDR 3,868,333.33 per month, and 2) Seeing the results of calculating the Gini ratio, it can be said that the distribution of income for PTPN IV tea-picking employees, the Kayu Aro Business Unit, has an imbalance level which is low because it has a Gini number of less than 0.3, which is 0.22.
