The purpose of this study is to see "The Influence of Emotional Intelligence on Employee Performance Through Motivation at the General Election Commission of Sungai Penuh City. The research is quantitative with a questionnaire research instrument. The population and sample in this study were all employees, totaling 24 people. The data tool in this study uses the help of SPSS version 25.00. The results of study that emotional intelligence (X) had no significant effect on employee performance (Y) at the Sungai Penuh City General Election Commission. This is indicated by the value of tcount 0.405 < ttable 2.079 (table 4.12). And the results obtained from the comparison of sig 0.689 <0.05, so that H1 is rejected and H0 is accepted. Emotional Intelligence (X) does not have a significant effect on motivation in the General Election Commission of Sungai Penuh City. This is indicated by the value of tcount -1.856 < ttable 2.079 (table 4.13). And the results obtained from the comparison of sig 0.077 > 0.05, so that H1 is rejected and H0 is accepted. Motivation (Z) on Employee Performance (Y) together has no significant effect on motivation at the Sungai Penuh City General Election Commission. This is indicated by the value of Fcount 0.257 > Ftable 3.44 (table 4.15). This indicates that H3 is accepted and H0 is rejected. So it can be concluded that the influence of emotional intelligence and motivation on employee performance has no positive and insignificant effect on employee performance. The indirect effect of Emotional Intelligence (X) through Employee Performance (Y) on Motivation (Z) is 0.6256 and the direct effect of Emotional Intelligence (X) on Motivation (Z) is -0.587, meaning that it indirectly means Emotional Intelligence (X) through employee performance (Y) has no significant effect on motivation (Z).
