Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of Competence and Discipline on the performance of employees in the Public Works Department Kerinci. The research method used is quantitative descriptive method and data processing using SPSS Version 16.00. the selection of respondents in this study came from all civil servants in the Office of Public Works of Kerinci Regency. The results of this study indicate that the variables of competence and discipline both partially and Sekaligus no significant effect on employee performance at the Department of Public Works Kerinci regency. The coefficient of determination (R2) shows that 15,1% variation of fluctuation Variable employee performance (Y) can be explained by competence variable (X1), and discipline (X2), while the remaining 100-15,1% = 84,9% Other Variables.
