Abstract

One of the local communities that has the potential to be affected by tourism activities is the people of Sanggaran Agung Village, Danau Kerinci District. The village of Sanggar Agung is interesting to observe, given the location of this village in an area with Lake Kerinci which is one of the biggest tourist destinations in Kerinci Regency. The Kerinci lake area is one of the strategic destinations and is a tourism icon of several leading tourist destinations that are being intensively developed by the Regional Government of Kerinci Regency. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach, which is a research process and understanding based on a methodology that investigates a social phenomenon and human problems. The results of the study explain that the development of tourism will of course have a positive impact or a negative impact. A tourist spot certainly has impacts on the surrounding environment. The community in the environment of a tourist object is very important in the life of a tourist object because they have a culture that can become a tourist attraction, community support for tourist attractions in the form of basic necessities for tourist attractions, adequate workforce where the management of tourist objects needs it to support the sustainability of the object's life and satisfy people who need work which makes people's lives better.
